Anna Silk is a Canadian actor who was born on January 31, 1974. She is best known as Bo on the Showcase Television show Lost Girl. Silk is a Canadian actress who was born in Fredericton New Brunswick. Ilkay Silk was the child of Peter Silk, an academic as well as Peter Silk, who was a well-known actor, director, producer, playwright, educator, and director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers some of the first moments in her childhood, like attending rehearsals and watching of plays. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. Silk was a graduate of St. Thomas University with an Associate of Arts degree in 1997. Theatre St. Thomas staged at least 2 early plays: Seven Menus & The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting profession in November 1999. Later, she spent the following decade relocated into Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman is her future spouse, whom she was introduced to during her time in Los Angeles at an Actors workshop. After getting engaged in 2008, the couple got married in 2009. They renewed their vows on on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton in the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman was blessed with her first son Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron, her second child was born May 13, 2016. Silk is known for her television role as Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009 she received nominations from for the Gemini Awards. In 2009, she was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk fell pregnant during the production of the season three finale. She announced the news to viewers on Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20th that she was ready to return to work. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production for the fourth season. The character she played Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical in the show Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top TV Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top Television Couple of 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Because of the popularity of the show, Silk has garnered a prominent internet following via social media.
